Monte Carlo, Monaco

15.09.2016

We made the short 30 minute train ride from Nice into Monte Carlo early one afternoon. We spent several hours exploring (mostly gawking at the countless yachts) before having sunset cocktails on the terrace. Finally, we entered the casino which was the primary motivation of our trip. Monaco is an opulent independent city-state on France’s Mediterranean coastline. It is known mostly for its upscale casinos and the prestigious Grand Prix auto race that is held annually through the streets of Monaco. We enjoyed our visit but it was clear we were not the target demographic.

Outside the Monte Carlo Casino. It was a longtime dream of Eric’s to gamble at the “James Bond Casino” and we were happy to accompany him.
