Evelyn Comes to America

WICHITA, KANSAS
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

This was our first trip back to the States with Evelyn and it was jam packed with love and activities. It’s a pretty incredible feeling to see the people you love the most holding your baby and there was lots of baby holding… after we had all survived our first flight (She was awesome!) Evelyn was baptized in the same church we got married and by the priest who officiated our wedding which was pretty special. A dear friend took family photos of us at the Wichita Art Museum (where Evelyn had a blow out midway through).

Then Parker headed west to go skiing in Colorado for a friend’s bachelor party followed by a work trip in San Franciscio. The girls stayed behind in Wichita to play before heading out West ourselves. We have such a special group of friends in San Francisco that we call our framily (friend family). It was surreal and wonderful for them to meet little Evelyn. Parker and I had a sushi dinner date at our fav place to celebrate FIVE years of marriage. And then we packed it all up to ship off back to Zürich.

These pictures are all the more special to me because I was beyond exhausted for most of this trip. Evelyn was having a really rough patch of sleeping and with jet lag and travel added on top of it… I was on another planet. It was an amazing, exhausting, and wonderful first visit for Evelyn.
